TOM PERRY 2012
Born: 22 February 1993, Albrighton, Nr. Wolverhampton, England.

2012 will be the third year of ‘Fred’s’ speedway career and he will start the campaign doubling up with Dudley and Premier League Somerset.

Perry had a hugely impressive pedigree on the Grasstrack scene before switching to shale, including winning the British Under-21 Championship and becoming the youngest qualifier to ride in the British Masters. It was his achievements on grass that persuaded Dudley to offer him a team place for 2010 and he adapted to speedway better than anyone could have imagined.

Perry finished the season with an average of 6.99 and lifted the Heathens’ Rider of the Year awars, capping a magnificent first season in the sport. As expected, he was announced as a Dudley rider for 2011 in February that year.

2011 was a year of consolidation for the youngster and, although he dropped his average fractionally, he did more than enough to gain a place in the 2012 Heathens septet.
